But the truth is, most of the TV I get to see is a choice between “Dora the Explorer” (for the 2 and under crowd) and “Kim Possible” for the 8 year olds in the room. I soooo envy you your control over the remote…. We get at most 2 hours of TV from 9-11 when the kids are in bed, but that is also the only time I have to do chores, read a book, or be with my wife. Even when we sit down to watch TV, most of what my wife chooses is stuff she’s taping to use in class the next day, i.e., stuff her students watch and not necessarily our tastes. Indeed, a catch phrase we find ourselves using a lot is “Not my demographic” (if Mary had a blog, this would be its title) because we mostly end up shaking our heads thinking, “who is this for” Not use, obviously. Though, to be fair, there are some good episodes of Kim Possible and SpongeBob…but Big Brother? Dance with the Stars? My brain hurts.
